Empowering Girls Through the Game Since 1985

Building champions on and off the field — WGFSA provides competitive fastpitch softball programs for girls ages 6–16 across the Woodland community.

Our Mission

More Than a League — A Community Built on the Diamond

Since 1985, Woodland Girls Fastpitch Softball Association has been the home of competitive youth fastpitch softball in Yolo County. We partner with NORCAL Girls Softball to provide inter-league play that challenges young athletes while building the confidence, discipline, and teamwork they carry far beyond the field.

  • Expert coaching from certified, background-checked volunteers
  • Divisions for every skill level, from 6U through 16U
  • Affiliated with NORCAL Girls Softball for regional competition
  • A welcoming, family-first environment for every player

Young girls at softball practice

Our Spring season focuses on skill development and fun for younger players. Girls ages 6–10 receive hands-on coaching in a supportive, low-pressure environment where building confidence matters as much as winning games.

Coach Spotlight

"I came to WGFSA as a parent volunteer and stayed as a coach for fifteen years. The girls who come through this program don't just learn to play — they learn how to compete, collaborate, and carry themselves with pride. That's what keeps me showing up every season."

"My daughter started in the 8U division not knowing how to hold a bat. Two seasons in, she's leading her team in RBIs and asking to practice every weekend."
