We Are Not
Disposable.

Rotts of Friends rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abused and abandoned dogs — matching every rescue to a forever family who will love them for life.

Our Mission

Every dog deserves a second chance at a forever home.

"We are not disposable."

Rotts of Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit formed to educate and prevent irresponsible breeding and ownership of animals. We rescue, rehabilitate, and place discarded and abused animals into forever homes: dogs that have been dumped in shelters, found wandering, or left behind in vacant buildings. Every dog that comes through our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and receives free lifetime obedience training.

The Dog's Journey

From rescue to forever home

Step 01 / Rescue

Pulled from shelters, streets, and crisis situations

Rotts of Friends is contacted by other organizations, municipalities, and individuals when a dog needs help. These animals have been dumped in shelters, found wandering roads, or left in vacant buildings — malnourished, injured, and afraid.

  • Licensed AHT Renee Lancaster stabilizes animals during transport
  • Accepts delivery from shelters across all of California
  • Immediate intake assessment and emergency veterinary triage
  • Coordination with municipal animal control and rescue networks

Step 02 / Rehabilitation

Healing bodies, restoring spirits

Animals received often require immediate, significant medical attention — ranging from starvation to broken bones, infection, gunshot wounds, and trauma from beatings. Rehabilitation goes far beyond physical healing.

  • Emergency and ongoing veterinary care through partner hospitals
  • Spay/neuter, microchipping, and full vaccinations
  • Behavioral assessment and mandatory obedience training
  • Consistent routine and care to rebuild trust and confidence

  • All dogs come with free lifetime obedience training
  • Mandatory follow-up education for new owners

"
Happy Tails

"When we first met Bruno, he could barely walk. His back legs had been fractured and left untreated. Six months later, he was chasing our kids around the yard. Renee matched him to us perfectly. We didn't just adopt a dog; we saved a life."
