The mission of Lady Magic Softball is to provide young women, through competitive softball, the opportunity to develop the personal attributes and life-long skills needed to be responsible adults.

We integrate the values of competitive softball into the social maturation process — nurturing self-confidence, respect, leadership, sportsmanship, and responsible citizenship so every player develops lasting friendships and a love of the game.

Jerry M. Saulter founded Lady Magic Softball in Sacramento in 1983 with a singular vision: give young women a competitive stage not just to play softball, but to grow into confident, resilient, and principled adults. For over four decades, that philosophy has guided every practice, every tournament, and every player who has worn the Lady Magic uniform.

The organization's motto — "Respect the Game" — captures Jerry's belief that excellence is built through discipline, integrity, and a deep love of the sport.
