State Deputy's Message

June 2026 — California State Council

We Are Pillars of Hope

As we close our Columbian year, California has achieved the Circle of Honor for the fourth consecutive year — a testament to the dedication of brothers across our jurisdiction. The Knights of California continue to distinguish themselves through service, prayer, and action in every corner of our state.

This year, over 2,100 families were touched through Campesino distributions, 240 wheelchairs were donated in Mexico, and 800+ delivered to the Philippines. The LA Archbishop recognized our Pro-Life efforts with a $10,000 grant, shared among 20 Pregnancy Resource Centers. Over 20,000 lbs of food reached local pantries and Catholic Charities statewide.

Pope Leo XIV reminded us at the Supreme Convention that we are all Pillars of the Church. Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly challenged us to be Pillars of Hope. In all we do — Charity, Community, Faith, Life — you have risen to that calling.

California Eucharistic Pilgrimage

"I want to let you know about a beautiful opportunity for spiritual renewal and prayer — the Camino de California Eucharistic Pilgrimage, which will visit all 21 historic California missions, beginning in the northern part of the state and traveling south."

— Archbishop Jose H. Gomez

This unique, holy pilgrimage provides a special moment for all of us to pray for America and the Church's mission in our country. This year also marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis, with special programming highlighting his spiritual legacy.
